THE “SALINAS GRANDES” NAME: Named after the mesmerizing salt plains of Salinas Grandes, this mate gourd draws its inspiration from the natural beauty and intricate patterns found in the region. The stamped leather design echoes the unique shapes seen in the Salinas Grandes, creating a captivating and interconnected artwork, reminiscent of the stunning landscape it honors.

MADE IN ARGENTINA: Each mate gourd is meticulously crafted in Argentina, showcasing unparalleled quality and durability. With carefully stitched and stamped leather, this gourd is built to withstand the test of time, providing years of enjoyment.

THE SALINAS GRANDES GOURD- The gourd is about 3.5 in wide and 4 in high. It weighs in at around 12.2 oz and has a volume of around 5 oz. The exterior is wrapped in a burgundy Argentine stamped leather with a torpedo style base. The interior is completely stainless steel removing the need to cure or to carefully maintain the gourd. The ornate portion of the rim is a gold-tinted Alpaca silver with a stainless steel top rim.

THE YERBA CREW BOMBILLA CLEANER - Made from stainless steel and 7 in (178mm) in length with nylon bristles can be used to clean deep inside your bombilla when you do your periodic bombilla cleaning.

Will my gourd look exactly like the picture?
The quick answer is “mostly”. We aim to keep the gourds about 85% consistent with the design but the handmade nature of the production allows for color and shape variations. Each gourd is unique and one of a kind.

Do I need to cure the gourd?
No need to cure it! Because the interior is stainless steel, just give it a quick rinse before your first use and you're good to go.

How do I maintain the gourd?
To maintain the leather exterior of your mate gourd, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth after each use to remove any residue. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or excessive moisture to preserve its quality and appearance over time. The interior can just be rinsed with water after each use.
