What is a mateada?
A mateada in the simplest sense is when people come together to drink yerba mate. However the tradition of the mateada goes back hundreds to thousands of years where families, friends, and even strangers would meet to drink yerba mate together.
What started as a ritual, became a tradition among family and friends all over South America. Starting in Philadelphia, Yerba Crew is hoping to share this same experience among our local community members.
The Yerba Mate is just the medium that brings people together to catch up and maybe meet some new friends centered around a healthy habit.
