Materials
The Torre Grey gourd is crafted from high-temperature glazed ceramic with a matte finish. It includes a stainless steel bombilla (6.1 in / 155 mm) and a stainless steel bombilla cleaning brush (7 in / 178 mm).

Gourd measures approximately 3.4 in tall and holds around 6 oz of liquid. Its unique shape offers a traditional feel in a modern ceramic format.
Yerba Mate Included
Choose from 1 lb bags of Canarias Traditional, Cruz de Malta, Playadito, or Anna Park Organic. All are gluten-free. Anna Park and Playadito are unsmoked. Canarias is a fine-cut Uruguayan yerba without stems. Cruz de Malta is a classic Argentine blend with stems.

The Torre Grey is easy to rinse and reuse. Handwash recommended for longevity. No curing required. Dishwasher safe if needed.
Will my gourd look exactly like the picture?
The quick answer is “mostly”. We aim to keep the gourds about 85% consistent with the design but the handmade nature of the production allows for color and shape variations. Each gourd is unique and one of a kind.
How do I wash ceramic mate gourds?
For long-term usage, it is best to hand wash ceramic mates. Machine washing will not destroy the mates but it may cause the colors to fade over time.
Are ceramic gourds fragile?
These stoneware mates are strong but they are still made of clay and will most likely chip, crack, or break if dropped more than a few feet from the ground.
When does the yerba mate expire? All the yerba we ship has at least 12 months of shelf life before it expires.
How long will this last me? If you drink one mate per day (about 40g of yerba), 500g of yerba will last you about 12 and a half days and 1000g is about 25 days. My method is to plan for 2 bags of 1kg yerba per month.
How much caffeine is in yerba mate? About 80mg of caffeine per cup however the amount varies based on whether you are drinking using traditional or mate cocido prep methods.
Where should I store yerba mate?
Store in a dark, dry, and cool location like inside a cabinet.
How do I keep the yerba mate fresh?
