Salta Sunrise Hibiscus Yerba Mate Blend 3oz (85g)

Salta Sunrise is a citrus-forward yerba mate blend crafted to energize your mornings and support your daily rhythm. It delivers clean, natural caffeine with a refreshing floral finish, whether brewed hot, cold, or added to mate and tereré.

Primary Benefits

Naturally Caffeinated
Smooth, steady energy from yerba mate without the sharp crash associated with highly processed energy drinks.

Antioxidant-Rich Ingredients
Hibiscus is known for its high antioxidant content, often testing higher than green tea and many common berries. Yerba mate also contains beneficial plant compounds and polyphenols that support overall wellness.

Cold Brew Friendly
Perfect for batch brewing. Prepare once and enjoy throughout the week.

Hot or Cold Versatility
Works beautifully as a hot infusion, cold brew, French press preparation, or layered into traditional mate and tereré.

Lasts 2–3 Weeks
Each 3 oz bag makes about 16 servings, enough for roughly 2–3 weeks of daily drinking depending on preparation style.

Flavor Profile

Bright citrus notes from hibiscus and lemon peel are balanced by soft floral aromatics from rosebuds. The result is a clean, refreshing cup that is vibrant but never overly bitter.

Natural Energy, Your Way

Salta Sunrise contains naturally occurring caffeine from yerba mate. Many customers who are familiar with canned yerba mate beverages or “the yellow can” find this to be a smoother, more customizable alternative.

You control the strength.
You control the sweetness.
You control the ingredients.

Brew it traditionally for a classic experience, or prepare it cold in the style you already enjoy. Adjust proportions to suit your taste.

Community Crafted

The Salta Sunrise packaging and artwork were designed in collaboration with Romi @roroillustrates, an Argentine artist and Yerba Crew community member based in the United States. From flavor development to visual design, this blend reflects real people within our community bringing each detail to life.

Yerba Mate FAQs

When does yerba mate expire?
All the yerba we ship has at least 12 months of shelf life before it expires.

How long will a bag of yerba mate last me?
If you drink one mate per day (about 35g of yerba), here’s how long each size will last:

  • 1lb of yerba (450 to 500g): 13-14 days
  • 2lbs of yerba (900-1000g): About 28 days
My personal method? I plan for 2 bags of 1lb yerba per month.

How much caffeine is in yerba mate?
Yerba mate contains approximately 80mg of caffeine per cup, though this can vary depending on how you prepare it. Traditional methods typically yield higher caffeine content compared to mate cocido (tea bag or French press style).

Where should I store yerba mate?
Store your yerba mate in a dark, dry, and cool location, like a kitchen cabinet or pantry.

How do I keep yerba mate fresh?

  • If you're using a Yerba Crew resealable bag, simply close the seal to keep your yerba fresh.
  • If you have a non-resealable bag, store the yerba in a sealable container or use a rubber band to keep it closed.
