Materials and Dimensions
Wrapped in Argentine burgundy leather, the gourd measures approximately 3.5 inches wide and 4 inches tall. It weighs about 11.7 ounces and holds around 5 ounces of liquid. The ornate rim is made of gold-tinted alpaca silver with a stainless steel lip. The torpedo-style base sits comfortably in your hand.

Stainless Steel Interior

The quick answer is “mostly”. We aim to keep the gourds about 85% consistent with the design but the handmade nature of the production allows for color and shape variations. Each gourd is unique and one of a kind.

Do I need to cure the gourd?
No need to cure it! Because the interior is stainless steel, just give it a quick rinse before your first use and you're good to go.

How do I maintain the gourd?
To maintain the leather exterior of your mate gourd, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth after each use to remove any residue. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or excessive moisture to preserve its quality and appearance over time. The interior can just be rinsed with water after each use.
