Playadito is known for its subtly sweet taste and low bitterness. It has a traditional Argentine cut with stems (con palo), low dust, and a long-lasting infusion ideal for relaxed afternoon sipping. It’s produced by the Cooperative of Colonia Liebig, which has over 130 small producers and 225 employees, and handles the entire process from field to packaging.

Yerba details
Playadito is produced in Corrientes by the Cooperative of Colonia Liebig, an organization founded in 1926 by German, Ukrainian, and Polish immigrants. Their Playadito Traditional variety is aged for 12 months and offers a mellow, approachable flavor. This yerba is gluten-free and ideal when prepared with water between 160°F and 180°F. It contains no added flavors and has a long-lasting infusion.

Yes, the mate cup is dishwasher safe, although a quick rinse in the sink is all that's needed.

Does the mate fit in a cup holder?

How should I clean the stainless steel mate?
The stainless steel makes the mate very simple to maintain. Just give it a rinse under the sink or put it in the dishwasher to clean

How do I clean the bombilla?
The easiest method is to hold the bombilla upside down under the faucet so the water runs through the filter and out the mouth opening. This will clear out any debris.

How do I clean the lid?
Give the lid a quick rinse under the sink for a quick cleaning.

When does the yerba mate expire? All the yerba we ship has at least 12 months of shelf life before it expires.

How long will this last me? If you drink one mate per day (about 40g of yerba), 500g of yerba will last you about 12 and a half days and 1000g is about 25 days. My method is to plan for 2 bags of 1kg yerba per month.

How much caffeine is in yerba mate? About 80mg of caffeine per cup however the amount varies based on whether you are drinking using traditional or mate cocido prep methods.

Where should I store yerba mate?
Store in a dark, dry, and cool location like inside a cabinet.

How do I keep the yerba mate fresh?
